General Definition: 1. A bent two (or ‘kneeling’) handshape held in this orientation, moved somewhere in the signing space and then moved slightly down with an abrupt off-set (i.e., bounce) is used to mean something is to be understood as being seated at that place. It usually means a person but it can also mean an animal. The sign is one of the types of ‘depicting’ signs that are used in Auslan.
