1. To be one of two things which you like more than the other thing. The one you like is very good; more so than the other thing you can compare it to. English = (be) better.
2. To be not as ill as you were before; to be less sick. English = (be) better, get better.
As Modifier:
1. Used before or after a verb (action) sign to mean that the action is done by someone or something in a good way -more so than another one you are thinking of and comparing it to. English = better.
