A button like object which is located on a surface, such as a wall, which you press with your thumb, such as a call button for a lift etc., or any thing or any action directly or indirectly associated with this, especially a doorbell. As a Noun: 1. A button like object located next to the front door of houses which rings (or causes lights to flash) when pressed and lets the people inside know you are at the door.
