3. Used next to a sign for an object, to mean the relative dimensions of the object start at one point and go to another point. English = from here to there.
4. In mathematics, used between two number signs to indicate the range of values for some quantity (age, time, kilometres, etc.). English = 'x' through 'y', from 'x' to 'y', and so on.
