Interactive: 1. Used alone to mean that you deny all responsibility or involvement in something someone has done or said. English = 'It's got nothing to do with me!'. As a Pointing Sign: 1. Used to mean something is NOT owned or possessed by the signer. It is usually signed immediately next to the noun sign for the thing that is owned. English = not my. 2. Used to mean something is NOT owned or possessed by the signer. Used alone without saying again what is NOT possessed is if it is clear from context or because someone has mentioned it before. English = not mine. Note: 1. Like the pointing signs for ‘I/me’, ‘you’, ‘he/him’, ‘she/her’, ‘it’, ‘we/us’ and ‘they/them’ this sign points in a particular direction. Also, like the possessive pointing signs ‘your/yours’, etc., the sign points or indicates with the palm. It points in the direction of the thing or person it is referring to (in this case the signer, i.e., ‘me’). Similarly, the other possessive signs in this dictionary can add the final negative open handshape to mean ‘not yours’, ‘not its’, ‘not his’, ‘not hers’, ‘not ours’ and ‘not theirs’.
