As a Noun: 1. In mathematics, an expression of more than two algebraic terms, especially the sum of several terms that contain different powers of the same variable or variables. English = polynomial. Note: 1. This sign uses a P handshape from the one-handed alphabet. It was originally borrowed from American Sign Language (ASL) for use in deaf education (mathematics and geometry) in Australia.
