As a Noun: 1. The condition or state in which there is no noise at all, and especially no talking; or in which there is no commotion. English = quiet, silence. As a Verb or Adjective: 1. To have very little noise in a place. English = (be) quiet, (be) silent. Interactive: 1. Used alone to tell someone to stop making a noise or a commotion. English = 'Shhh!'. 'Be quiet!', 'Be still!'
